2 Ways of Connecting Solar To Home
We all know the benefits of domestically using renewable energy, and moreover it is a widely used power source all across the globe. To be precise, solar energy is used for home and for finalising some important commercial processes, like filtering water, fabricating textiles and much more. If you want to connect your home and light it up with solar-based energy systems, you have to know these two systems of connection. Connecting solar energy sources has two methods, namely the Grid system and the Off-grid system.

Grid Connection of Solar Systems
Grid system is the most preferred system for gaining access to solar power. Although this system is not totally dependent on solar energy, it uses traditional sources when necessary. Power to a home is sourced from both the solar panels and the grid or transformer placed near your home. In case the power inside the solar-power system is exhausted, the Grid Connected Solar Power Plants in Jharkhand gets energy from the transformer (as we all get traditionally).

Process of Connecting to A Grid

  • Installing Modules on Your Rooftop
  • Connecting With Nearby Grid
  • Wiring Throughout Your Home

Solar Energy Through Panels on Sunny Days
This system does not have a battery, it does not require those expensive power storage systems. It functions perfectly on sunny days and provides electricity efficiently throughout your home.

Traditional Electricity Through the Grid on Rainy Days
It is very helpful to get a constant flow of power supply. Pertaining to this convenience, the grid system provides power from both the power source (solar and traditional fuel).

Off-Grid Connection of Solar Systems
Off-Grid Solar Power Systems in India is a convenient system compared to grid solar energy. This connection is totally dependent on solar energy for generating and supplying electricity. This system is widely used and can be installed nearly anywhere, with its independent kit of solar panel, battery, and inverter, you can connect your home with this additional source of power.

Here are a few reasons to install this system

  • Cost-effective
  • Eco-friendly
  • Less Complicated
  • Safe source of electricity

Process in Off-Grid System
As this system is not connected to any other additional source of power like a transformer, off-grid power system supplies electricity to the home by itself. With the basic functionality of solar panels and power supply, this off-grid has a simple mechanism.

Absorbing and Generating Energy
An array of solar panels are used to absorb heat and convert it to solar electricity. This energy is stored in a battery and then used according to use.

Supplying Power Through Battery
The energy converted through the modules is stored and supplied in the battery. After that, it supplies electricity to the home.

Limitation of Off-Grid Power System
The limitation of off-grid systems is that they absorb power only on sunny days. This system cannot supply you electricity when energy is exhausted in the battery, this system is not functional on rainy and windy days as modules cannot absorb energy and power up the battery. Hence, an off-grid connection cannot be depended on entirely, although with this power system you can rest assured of conserving and utilising solar energy efficiently on sunny days.
